Alps to Ocean [A2O] - great starting point - Lake Tekapo

Alternative starting point

Day 1 – set up bike and get to hot springs and get a cheap two day pass to prepare for the ride, check out the town, church etc and book a midnight tour of the earth and sky show

Day 2- hot pools and go to 4pm church service and view out over the lake

Day 3 – trip to lake Alexandria and ride along the edge of Lake Alexandria and Lake Tekapo

Day 4 – start the A 2 O ride to Twizel

Day Four - walking to Akaroa

I decided to pay the $20 and have the pack delivered to Akaroa on the last
day and the weather conditions made it so much easier to make that decision
- enjoyed the walk in the drizzling rain

Plenty of Fur Seals inside the Seal cave and a nice shelter up againist the
rock wall for a break and picnic table
